"Iaon Pohlit was born in Chicago, IL.
He studied sculpture and painting at
California State University Stanislaus
and received his BFA
from Wichita State University
where he studied
graphic arts and printmaking .
Iaon’s work has been shown in
solo and group exhibitions in
Dallas, Chicago, Denver,
Miami, Austin, New Orleans,
San Francisco and Santa Barbara.
His work ranges from contemporary
figurative expressionism to
pop influenced illustrations.
With interests in fine art,
photography and film
he constantly reinvents himself.
Iaon’s main influences are
Egon Schiele, Paul Gauguin,
Rico Lebrun and Gustav Klimt.
He also appreciates
living artists such as
Jeff Pierson and David Choe.
He is currently living in
Santa Barbara California working
as a graphic artist & creative consultant."
